Blake Horn is a Los Angeles based cinematographer that has traveled the globe lensing both documentary and fictional narrative films.
After graduating from Ithaca College, Blake dove headfirst into NYC’s production scene shooting dance films, sketches, music videos, and shorts. He cut his teeth as a 1st AC and gaffer on larger sets and soaked up as much technical craft as possible.
In 2018, he was fortunate to travel to Japan, Namibia, and Israel to B-Cam operate on Refinery29’s travel series Style Out There. The traveling continued in 2019 as the 2nd Unit DP for R29’s interactive travel series The World You Way where he traveled to 8 countries over 4 months.
In 2021, he shot his first feature film Better Half and a month later shot his second feature Mind Body Spirit.
In 2023 he traveled to India and Mexico to film the horror documentary A Cursed Man and in 2024 he shot two documentary features, In This Moment and Together: A Recovery Journey.
In the summer of 2025, he wrapped the 6-episode TV mini-series Perfect Sundays which is slated for a release in 2026.
Commercial clients include Netflix, Amazon, Vice, BBC, Special Olympics, NFL, NHL, NBC, Refinery29 and 23andMe.
Blake is also an avid educator & mentor and has taught at Cornish College, Ithaca College, Reel Works in Brooklyn, and NorthWest Film Forum in Seattle.
