Blake Horn is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer working across narrative, documentary, and commercial projects.

His work has taken him to 6 continents (Antartica is next), often working in environments where adaptability and collaboration are as important as the image itself.

After graduating from Ithaca College, Blake immersed himself in New York’s production community, shooting dance films, sketches, music videos, and short films while working as a 1st AC and gaffer on larger productions. Those early years gave him a strong technical foundation and a deep appreciation for the craft of filmmaking.

Blake’s documentary work has taken him around the world, including B-camera operating on Refinery29’s Style Out There and serving as 2nd Unit DP on The World Your Way, traveling through eight countries over four months.

He has since shot feature films including Better Half and Mind Body Spirit, as well as documentary features including A Cursed Man, In This Moment, and Together: A Recovery Journey. In 2025, he wrapped the six-episode television miniseries Perfect Sundays, slated for release in 2026.

He has lensed projects for Netflix, Amazon, Microsoft, Lonely Planet, Vice, BBC, NBC, Refinery29, 23andMe, the NFL, NHL, and Special Olympics.

Blake cares deeply about creating an inviting, healthy, and productive environment on set, believing that the best work happens when a crew feels trusted and supported. He brings a thoughtful understanding of story and narrative to every project, balancing visual ambition with the realities of production. He is comfortable finding creative solutions within tight constraints and takes pride in making a lot with a little.

Alongside his work in production, Blake is an avid educator and mentor. He has taught at Ithaca College, Cornish College of the Arts, Reel Works in Brooklyn, and Northwest Film Forum in Seattle.
